Meet you Instructor

Esther Pardo Harris

¡Hola! My name is Esther Pardo Harris, M.A., and I am a passionate Spanish language instructor. I have extensive experience teaching at various universities, including UTSA (University of Texas at San Antonio), where I received my Master’s degree and conducted research on the influence of the Aztec language, Nahuatl, on Spanish. I have also taught at OLLU (Our Lady of the Lake University) and currently I teach at UIW (University of the Incarnate Word).

My journey as a language instructor, like many great things that happen in life, began unexpectedly during my studies in an Interpretation and Translation program at UCLA (University of California Los Angeles), where I taught at Berlitz for the first time. Since then, I have taught both in-person and online, and I enjoy exploring new techniques to engage my students in the virtual classroom.

As an online instructor, I understand the importance of flexibility, but I also emphasize the value of consistent effort and practice in learning a new language. That’s why I strive to make my classes interactive, engaging, and tailored to each student’s needs and goals. Remember, repetition, repetition, repetition is the key.

Aside from teaching, another passion I have is painting and photography. I love to take photos and to express myself on the Canvas using the magical brush.
